About this Role.

Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that connects talented professionals with leading companies worldwide. We are currently seeking an experienced US Family Law Paralegal to support a growing US-based law firm.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with a US family law practice and possesses exceptional legal research and writing skills. The primary responsibility will be drafting complex motions and other court-ready legal documents. The successful candidate will also assist with general paralegal duties and case management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise family law motions, pleadings, and related legal documents.

  • Prepare Motions for Pendente Lite Relief involving alimony, child support, attorney’s fees, and other temporary relief.

  • Draft Motions to Dismiss and Motions for Summary Judgment.

  • Prepare Motions for Enforcement and Modification of prior court orders.

  • Draft emergency Orders to Show Cause and other time-sensitive filings.

  • Prepare Motions for Relocation and supporting documentation.

  • Conduct legal research and summarize relevant statutes, case law, and procedural requirements.

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, document organization, discovery, and trial support.

  • Maintain accurate case files, calendars, deadlines, and client records.

  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and other involved parties.

  • Perform additional paralegal and administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting a US family law firm or attorney is required.

  • Proven experience independently drafting substantive family law motions.

  • Strong knowledge of US family law terminology, court procedures, and legal document formatting.

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, proofreading, and analytical skills.

  • Advanced written and spoken English.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and strict filing deadlines.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Reliable computer, internet connection, and professional home workspace.

  • Availability to work during US business hours.
