Technical Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Project Manager based in Brazil.

This role combines technical project leadership with hands-on software development expertise to guide projects from planning through delivery.
You'll work at the intersection of business requirements and engineering execution, translating needs into clear technical plans and actionable tasks.
The position requires enough technical depth to understand code, architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, and development workflows.
You'll coordinate developers, designers, QA specialists, and other technical contributors while keeping projects aligned with scope, timelines, and quality standards.
The role also involves identifying risks, resolving blockers, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
You'll contribute directly to technical discussions and decisions rather than operating solely as an administrative project manager.

Accountabilities

• Lead technical projects through the full lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, specifications, and development tasks.
• Create project plans, establish timelines, assign responsibilities, and manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Coordinate developers, designers, QA specialists, and other technical contributors to keep delivery on track.
• Review technical solutions and provide informed input on architecture, integrations, database structures, APIs, and development approaches.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions when required.
• Monitor development progress, identify blockers and risks, and work with teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile activities.
• Ensure projects follow appropriate development, testing, documentation, security, and deployment processes.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery expectations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation covering requirements, timelines, technical decisions, dependencies, and status updates.
• Support troubleshooting and incident resolution for existing systems when needed.
• Identify and implement improvements to project management and software development processes.
• Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing technical or software development projects.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience with one or more languages or frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, Java, C#, React, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to read, understand, review, and discuss code with software developers.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, version control, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience managing Agile or Scrum-based development teams.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Jira, ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or comparable version-control platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a practical approach to identifying and resolving delivery challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and dependencies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, application security, and infrastructure management is advantageous.
  • Experience managing distributed or remote development teams is desirable.
  • Experience working with external clients and gathering technical requirements is a plus.
  • Relevant project management or Agile certification is an advantage.
