TAX ASSOCIATE / STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Job Title: Experienced Tax Staff
Location: Remote (Philippines, Central America/Latin America)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Tax Staff professional with a strong background in U.S. tax preparation to join our growing team.
This role will focus primarily on preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns while supporting tax planning and client service initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience working with U.S.-based tax returns, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a technology-enabled environment and demonstrate either experience with modern accounting tools or a strong willingness to learn and adopt them quickly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare U.S. federal and state tax returns, including:
Form 1040
Form 1120
Form 1120S
Form 1065
Review source documents and organize client tax information
Identify missing information and communicate with team members regarding client needs
Support tax planning and tax projection engagements
Work closely with tax managers and partners to meet filing deadlines
Maintain accurate workpapers and supporting documentation
Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously during busy season
Assist with tax notices, correspondence, and other tax-related projects
Stay current with tax regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3+ years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns
Strong experience with:
1040
1120
1120S
1065 tax returns
Experience working with a U.S.-based CPA or accounting firm
Strong understanding of U.S. federal tax concepts
Fluent English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable learning and adopting new technology platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPA or accounting designation preferred
Experience using ProSeries or similar tax software
Experience with Liscio, Gruntworx, or Karbon
Exposure to tax planning and advisory services
Experience working directly with U.S. clients
Interest in AI tools and technology-enabled accounting workflows
