We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Tax Associates to join one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and compliance, with at least three years of hands-on experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns. This role requires excellent analytical skills, knowledge of current tax regulations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and partnerships
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
Analyze financial records, accounting data, and supporting documentation
Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to clients or management
Assist with tax planning and research on complex tax issues
Respond to tax notices and assist with audits when necessary
Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
Stay current on changes in tax laws and industry regulations
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing tax returns
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
Experience with tax preparation software and accounting systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines during peak tax seasons
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
Public accounting or tax firm experience preferred
