Job Overview
Mitratech is seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer to lead the end-to-end creation of high impact learning for our workforce from identifying what needs to be learned, to designing how it should be taught, to building the final course. This is a hybrid role that spans instructional strategy and hands-on eLearning development, sitting within the People & L&D team and working closely with HR business partners, subject matter experts, and department leads. The ideal candidate thinks like a designer, builds like a developer, and always keeps the learning at the center.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead needs analyses and performance consulting conversations with business stakeholders
Define learning strategy, objectives, and success metrics aligned to business outcomes
Write high-quality scripts, storyboards, facilitator guides, and workbooks that are clear and on brand
Apply adult learning principles (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy) to structure content effectively
Design end to end learning journeys for onboarding, leadership, and skills programs
Present learning proposals and program recommendations to L&D and HR Leadership
Lead SME engagement: facilitate content workshops, manage feedback cycles, and maintain stakeholder alignment
Evaluate program impact using Kirkpatrick or similar frameworks; report findings in plain, executive ready language
Lead development of complex interactive courses in Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, helping to mentor other team members in quality and knowledge
Package and publish SCORM/xAPI-compliant modules; own LMS configuration and troubleshooting
Produce and direct supporting assets — graphics, screen recordings, animations, and short-form video to a polished standard
Establish and maintain QA processes and development standards across the L&D team
Own reporting on course effectiveness and translate into clear recommendations for improvement
Requirements & Skills:
5+ years in L&D roles spanning both instructional design and eLearning development
Expert level proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline + Rise)
Understand adult learning theory and instructional design models
Experience with SCORM/xAPI and an enterprise LMS
Ability to write clearly and translate complex content for non-expert audiences
Comfortable managing multiple projects and SME relationships simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to write for learners, present to leaders, and facilitate workshops with SME’s
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Master's degree or professional certification (ATD CPTD, CIPD) preferred.
