We are looking for a **Software Engineer** for an **American client**. Our client is a Miami-based private investment firm focused exclusively on the U.S. healthcare industry. They manage and actively operate a portfolio of four healthcare companies, taking a direct role in both investment decisions and day-to-day operations. The firm-level team is intentionally lean; everyone on it carries real responsibility and works across the full scope of the business. You will sit at the firm level, reporting directly to leadership, and you will be a core part of that team.
In this role, **you will be responsible** for supporting data infrastructure, dashboards, and AI workflow integrations across the firm and its four portfolio companies. **You will be** embedded at the firm level and work directly with leadership. In addition to firm-level responsibilities, **you will** engage with each portfolio company on a project basis, working alongside their teams to assess systems, identify gaps, and build tooling suited to each business.
**Responsibilities**
* Design and maintain firm-level dashboards providing leadership visibility into performance across the portfolio;
* Build and manage data pipelines and system integrations across four U.S. healthcare businesses;
* Develop AI-assisted workflow automations to reduce manual overhead at the firm and portfolio level;
* Lead project-based engagements within each portfolio company to assess, build, and hand off internal tooling;
* Identify data and workflow gaps across portfolio companies and recommend prioritized solutions;
* Maintain reliability of systems built.
### **Requirements & Stack**
* **5+ years of professional working experience** in software engineering;
* **Full-stack ownership:** Experience with both backend logic and front-end data presentation;
* **Core Stack:** Proficiency in **Python, SQL, and JSON/REST APIs** for building automation workflows and integrations;
* **Data Visualization:** Experience with **Retool, Metabase, or React-based dashboards;**
* **AI Integration:** Hands-on experience with **LLM APIs, prompt pipelines**, or agent-based automation;
* **Infrastructure:** Experience with **ETL, data pipelines**, and multi-system integrations;
* **Soft Skills:** Ability to work independently across multiple business contexts and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders;
* **Availability:** Responsive during **Eastern Standard Time (EST)** business hours;
* **Plus:** Background in healthcare operations or private equity.
