SEO Content Developer

Location: Remote | Latin America Employment Type: Full-Time

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Health-Literate SEO Content Developer to help grow organic traffic, improve content performance, and strengthen our digital presence within the healthcare and wellness space.

This role will focus on auditing and optimizing existing content, creating high-quality SEO-driven articles, and developing content strategies that connect clinical expertise with patient and consumer audiences. The ideal candidate combines strong SEO knowledge, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate complex health topics in a clear, accurate, and engaging way.

This position sits at the intersection of healthcare content creation, SEO strategy, and brand storytelling, requiring someone who values both content quality and measurable organic growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audit and analyze existing blog posts and website content to identify optimization opportunities, content gaps, keyword opportunities, and consolidation needs.

• Expand and optimize existing pages based on SEO best practices, including content structure, internal linking, metadata, schema, and search intent.

• Create 10–12 long-form SEO articles per month focused on health and wellness topics such as hormone health, gut health, hair wellness, energy, and related areas.

• Develop and optimize location-based content pages targeting local search performance.

• Create product and category page content that balances SEO strategy with user engagement and conversions.

• Implement and optimize SEO elements, including FAQ schema, meta titles, meta descriptions, and structured content.

• Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with business initiatives, seasonal topics, campaigns, and brand priorities.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance of medical-related content.

• Monitor content performance using tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics, providing insights on rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions.

• Stay updated on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and healthcare content best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience creating SEO-focused content with demonstrated organic traffic growth.

• Experience writing healthcare, wellness, medical, or lifestyle content.

• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including:

• Keyword research and search intent

• On-page SEO optimization

• Internal linking strategies

• Metadata optimization

• Schema markup concepts

• Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4).

• Ability to translate complex health or clinical concepts into accessible, accurate, and engaging content.

• Experience managing content calendars and meeting publishing deadlines.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.

• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress and/or Shopify.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in functional medicine, women’s health, wellness, or integrative healthcare.

• Knowledge of TCM, Ayurveda, or holistic health practices.

• Experience implementing schema markup (JSON-LD).

• Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as ActiveCampaign.

• Experience with YouTube SEO and content optimization.

• Previous experience supporting DTC healthcare brands, medical professionals, or personal brands.
