About the Role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a strategic, customer-facing role dedicated to supporting a portfolio of Veeam’s largest and most complex Enterprise and VCSP accounts. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, this role focuses on maximizing the value of Veeam solutions by aligning technology with customer business goals, accelerating data management outcomes, and providing both technical and strategic guidance across the customer lifecycle.


What You’ll Do

  • Build deep understanding of customer business priorities, operating models, IT strategies, and data center environments

  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on Veeam solutions

  • Support issue management, escalations, and resolution in collaboration with Support and Engineering teams

  • Provide guidance on operational planning, risk mitigation, and deployment strategies

  • Serve as the primary technical advocate for the customer across internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Support, Engineering, Product, etc.)

  • Lead regular operational cadence calls and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

  • Perform health checks of Veeam environments and recommend optimizations and best practices

  • Partner with Sales teams to identify new opportunities and drive account growth

  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions, best practices, and lessons learned to customers

  • Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

  • Travel up to 50% to support customer engagements


Technologies You’ll Work With

Veeam Data Platform, VMware, Microsoft (Windows/Active Directory), Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Virtualization, Enterprise Storage, Backup & Recovery, Networking Protocols, Data Center Infrastructure, Business Continuity, DevOps environments


What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in Technical Account Management, Pre-Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles

  • Deep knowledge of data protection, data management, and backup solutions

  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, storage, networking, and cloud architectures

  • Experience supporting enterprise customers and managing complex environments

  • Strong troubleshooting, escalation management, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value


Bonus Skills

  • Certifications such as VMCE, VMCA, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE

  • Experience with VCSP environments or service provider ecosystems

  • Exposure to data analytics and advanced data management strategies

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments
