Job description

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a passion for development of scalable distributed platforms to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing robust software applications and an understanding of microservices, event integration patterns and data orchestration across hybrid cloud and on premise environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects with global clients. You will be joining a team of skilled professionals driving innovative and impactful solutions.

What you'll be doing.

  • Drive the engineering of robust, high-throughput services using .NET 8+, C#, and ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs across a distributed microservices architecture optimized for mobile client consumption.
  • Design and implement scalable, asynchronous pipelines using message-bus patterns and distributed pub/sub frameworks to orchestrate real-time data flow between decoupled services.
  • Architect and own secure integration endpoints, including webhooks, event ingestion pipelines, and third-party data feeds.
  • Optimize data strategies that utilize modern cloud storage with on-premise databases. You will be responsible for data modeling, query optimization and synchronization patterns using NoSQL and SQL platforms and validation/integrity across a hybrid platform.
  • Build and deploy within containerized environments (ex. Azure Container Apps, Kubernetes) You will assume Infrastructure as Code as a core tenant of the development process and leverage Application Performance Monitoring (APM) to ensure healthy services & performant systems.
  • Proactively identify architectural roadblocks and gaps in capability within the hybrid ecosystem., Providing alternate technical approaches such as caching strategies or API gateway optimizations to keep the project remains on schedule.
  • Partner with Strategy, Creative, and Client leads to translate complex business requirements into elegant, executable technical solutions fit for mobile app consumption.
  • Serve as a lead mentor for the engineering team, fostering a culture of high performance coding and adherence to backend and platform best practices.
  • Stay at the forefront of the .NET & Cloud-Native ecosystem, advocating for tools and frameworks that specifically enhance system quality, scale, and development productivity.

What We'd Like to See

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET (Core/.NET 8+), and ASP.NET Core building backend and scalable distributed systems that support high-concurrency application ecosystems.
  • Proven experience designing decoupled systems using event-driven communication patterns. You understand how to manage event flow, state and consistency in a complex distributed environment..
  • Proven experience building production webhook systems—including signature verification, idempotency, retry logic, ensuring third-party data flows are fault-tolerant.
  • Proven experience with Entity Framework Core, Dapper, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Hands-on experience with container-first architecture, (ex. Event Hubs, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Managed Identity) and the ability to manage the deployment lifecycle of IaC.
  • Familiar with APM platforms (Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog) to diagnose bottlenecks, structured logging via Serilog, and health check endpoints for service readiness.
  • Experience in defensive coding patterns and levering libraries like Polly designing systems for graceful degradation and automagic recovery.
  • Skilled in xUnit testing (ex. Moq or NSubstitute, and FluentAssertions). Experience with integration testing via WebApplicationFactory and security scanning tools (ex. StackHawk, CodeQL) is a plus.
  • A strong appreciation for clean API design, with experience with OpenAPI and code generation tools (TypeSpec or similar) for consistent contracts across services.
  • The ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders with clarity ensuring that technical constraints never get in the way of an awesome user experience.

If the selected candidate holds a degree in Engineering or a related profession, they must present their professional license. To verify your degree requires this license, please visitwww.copnia.gov.coandhttps://www.consejoprofesional.org.co/.
