Job Description We are forming a foundational team in the PMS Area (Patient Management System), dedicated to powering Docplanner’s Practice Management Systems that our doctors and clinics use globally every day. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Colombia, you will report to our technical leadership and collaborate with a high-impact Global Team. While we are moving toward a TypeScript-centric stack (Node.js & React), we seek engineers who are able to lead through architectural challenges and can apply their expertise across different technologies as our ecosystem evolves **What you will do:** * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software with a focus on long-term sustainability, scalability, and performance. * Lead the transition from legacy components toward a modern, TS-based microservices architecture. * Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code primarily using Node.js, TypeScript, and React, while remaining open to using the best tool for specific architectural problems. * Take accountability for the full SDLC: from initial technical design and architecture discussions to deployment and post-launch monitoring. * Ensure high performance and robustness in high-traffic, mission-critical environments where millions of requests are handled daily. * Drive improvements in the team's ways of working by promoting Agile practices, TDD, and a "You build it, you run it" DevOps culture. * Mentor fellow developers and contribute to code reviews and technical documentation to ensure high engineering standards. * Explore and integrate emerging technologies—including AI/ML where relevant—to enhance system efficiency and user experience. Qualifications * Minimum 6 to 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, with in-depth knowledge of creating highly scalable and observable backend systems * Extensive experience in Node.js and TypeScript and knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) * Solid knowledge of database design and optimization for large-scale data sets (SQL + NoSQL) * Proficiency in React and modern frontend patterns * Understanding of software engineering best practices, including SOLID, DRY, and Clean Architecture (Hexagonal/DDD) * Experience with cloud-native practices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) * Advanced English Additional Information * Direct contract for an indefinite period * Remote work * People Pass food vouchers * Prepaid medical insurance * Stock option plan * Continuing education platform
