WHAT’S THE MISSION YOU’LL DRIVE

Keep Addi’s core financial data perfectly accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready every day while serving as the primary quality gatekeeper for all finance-impacting system changes. As a foundational operator in Addi’s AI-first Finance function, this role owns the automated workflows that drive month-end close and rigorously validates the outputs of AI-assisted finance processes to ensure absolute financial integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain a perfect daily reconciliation rate across core subledgers (loan management, merchant payments, and deposits), ensuring all breaks are identified, escalated, and resolved within SLAs with zero undocumented carry-forwards.

  • Deliver flawless data support for month-end close by providing complete, accurate, and on-time subledger-to-GL tie-outs and sign-off packs, ensuring zero close delays caused by owned data or system issues.

  • Achieve complete UAT coverage and sign-off as the sole tester for all finance-impacting system changes and new product launches, ensuring no code reaches production without a structured, completed test record.

  • Ensure maximum uptime on automated reconciliation workflows supporting the month-end close cycle, successfully monitoring scheduled bots and resolving any data job failures within the same business day.

  • Operationalize AI-assisted finance processes by defining and running repeatable, audit-ready validation protocols for each automated workflow. (If the candidate has agent-building background: directly contribute to designing, testing, and iterating the logic for these agents alongside Engineering).

  • Maintain an actively prioritized testing backlog for all SaaS integrations and new bank products, providing Finance Systems with a transparent, up-to-date view of what is tested, pending, or blocked.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Finance Systems & Reconciliation: +4 years of hands-on experience in financial operations, managing daily/period-end reconciliations across core subledgers and understanding data flow into the general ledger.

  • Month-End Close Rigor: Deep familiarity with month-end data quality expectations, capable of investigating breaks and distinguishing between underlying data issues, timing differences, and system errors.

  • System Change & QA Testing: Proven ability to translate business/accounting requirements into structured UAT scenarios, manage a concurrent testing backlog, and deliver audit-ready test documentation.

  • Data & Automation Proficiency: Fluent in SQL (or similar query languages) to validate outputs, alongside the ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot scheduled reconciliation bots and data workflows.

  • AI-First Operational Mindset: Actively integrates AI tools (Claude, Copilot) into daily workflows. Possesses the intellectual rigor to design validation checks and articulate "what correct looks like" before accepting an automated result.

  • AI Agent Development: Direct experience building, deploying, or testing AI agents in a finance/accounting context (e.g., automated reconciliation agents, GL coding assistants).

  • Extreme Ownership & Organization: Highly self-directed in managing recurring daily operations versus forward-looking testing backlogs without dropping tasks.

  • Cross-Functional Communication: Translates complex data or system errors into clear, concise written context for both Engineering and Finance audiences, raising concerns proactively rather than waiting for month-end.
