Job Title: Senior Auditor (US CPA)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced US CPA based in the Philippines (or LATAM) to join our firm as a Tax Senior. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, supporting client advisory work, and managing multiple concurrent engagements across a diverse client base.
This is a senior-level, hands-on role requiring strong ownership, technical tax expertise, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment aligned with US tax operations.
A key requirement for this role is a strong interest in technology-enabled tax and accounting workflows. Our firm is actively implementing AI and automation tools across tax processes, and we expect team members to be comfortable working in a tech-forward environment and eager to adopt new systems.
We currently use the following tools:
Firm-wide / AI & workflow: Claude, Karbon, AccountGroove
Tax-specific tools: Liscio, Gruntworx, ProSeries, Claude
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, business, and/or entity tax returns (depending on complexity level)
Manage multiple concurrent tax engagements with varying deadlines throughout the season
Ensure compliance with US federal and state tax regulations
Communicate directly with internal teams and clients as needed
Support tax planning and advisory work where applicable
Work closely with audit and accounting teams for integrated client needs
Maintain high-quality work standards and meet strict deadlines
Leverage tax software and AI tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
Stay updated on US tax law changes and industry best practices
Required Qualifications:
US CPA license (active and in good standing)
Minimum 5+ years of US tax experience (public accounting firm preferred)
Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
Familiarity with US federal and state tax compliance
Experience using tax software (ProSeries or similar preferred)
Strong English communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, US-time-zone aligned environment
Comfortable working in a technology-driven and evolving workflow environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a mid-to-large US public accounting firm
Exposure to tax advisory and planning work
Experience working with offshore or distributed teams
Interest or experience in AI tools and automation in tax/accounting workflows
Experience using tools such as Liscio, Gruntworx, Karbon, or similar platforms
Ability to support audit or accounting work during off-peak tax seasonsg
