What You’ll Achieve

• Architect & Own: You will architect and own the development of robust, scalable Android applications using up-to-date technologies such as Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and modern principles like Clean Architecture, MVVM/MVI, and contemporary design patterns.

• Partner with Clients: You will act as the key technical partner for our US and EMEA clients, translating business needs into technical solutions and confidently guiding conversations on project scope and timelines.

• Champion Quality: You will champion a culture of quality by implementing and advocating for comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, and UI tests) to ensure our applications are performant and reliable.

• Lead & Mentor: You can lead and mentor a team of Android developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and high-quality code through insightful code reviews and technical guidance.

• Shape Our Team: You will help shape our team's future by participating in the hiring process and helping us identify and attract top Android talent to our growing chapter.

Who You Are

We are looking for a consultant who values craftsmanship and collaboration. You don't need to check every box, but you should be able to demonstrate a strong foundation in these areas.

Core Experience:

• Professional fluency in English, with the ability to lead technical discussions with international stakeholders and team members.

• Proven experience designing and implementing mobile architectures (e.g., MVVM, MVI, UDF) and a strong grasp of Clean Architecture and S.O.L.I.D. principles.

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity, comfortable guiding other developers and improving team practices.

• Interest in using AI-assisted development tools responsibly for code exploration, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and productivity improvements.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, clarify trade-offs, and guide conversations around scope, timeline, risk, and delivery quality.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.

• Experience with Gradle, build optimization, and Android build performance in large or modular codebases.

• Interest in sharing knowledge through tech talks, writing, or internal initiatives.

• Strong focus on mobile observability, release health monitoring, and actionable data instrumentation.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.

You’ll primarily work with Kotlin, Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack Compose, the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries,  RESTful APIs, Git, and modern Android architecture patterns.

**REMOTE WORK:**This position is remote-friendly. If you miss being in the office, we have a great one in Florianópolis and you are welcome to work from there whenever you wish. Just a reminder: remote employees must live in Brazil (we hire international professionals only for specific openings).
