Job Title: Retail Salesperson (Pet Brand)
Location: South African and South African Applicants Preferred (PERMANENT REMOTE WORK SETUP)
We are not looking for order-takers or account managers.
We are looking for hunters who can build a pipeline, create opportunities, and close deals independently.

We are a fast-growing pet brand focused on transforming grooming from a stressful routine into a positive, enjoyable experience. With strong traction online and growing demand, we are now expanding aggressively into retail.
* Role Overview
We’re looking for a high-performance salesperson who can open doors, close retail accounts, and drive revenue growth across independent and national retailers. This is not a maintenance role- this is a builder role.
You will own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
*Key Responsibilities
-Identify, target, and close new retail accounts (independent stores, regional chains, and national buyers)
-Build and manage a strong pipeline from scratch
-Pitch our product in a compelling, value-driven way (not just features)
-Develop relationships with retail buyers and decision-makers
-Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and onboarding of new accounts
-Consistently follow up and move deals forward
-Provide market feedback to improve product positioning and sales strategy
Requirements
Proven track record of closing deals (retail experience strongly preferred)
Strong hunter mentality — proactive, persistent, and results-driven
Ability to sell value, not just product features
Excellent communication — clear, concise, and persuasive
Highly resourceful and able to operate without a heavy structure
Comfortable with rejection and long sales cycles
Big Plus:
Experience selling into pet, CPG, or retail distribution
Existing relationships with retail buyers
Understanding of retail metrics (margin, sell-through, velocity)
