This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Specialist I Backend C# Developer (Technology Demand & Operations) based in Brazil.

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to lead the development and modernization of highly complex, business-critical financial technology solutions. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of a digital B2B financial management platform, supporting essential processes such as payment reconciliation, receivables, banking operations, and financial reporting. You will combine strong C#/.NET expertise with modern Node.js/TypeScript technologies to drive architectural improvements, performance, security, and scalability. Working closely with technical leaders and cross-functional engineering teams, you will establish best practices and ensure high standards of software quality. You will also act as a technical reference, mentoring developers and helping resolve critical production challenges. Accountabilities:

• Lead the development of highly complex and business-critical backend solutions, supporting the modernization and architectural transition from .NET to Node.js/TypeScript, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Define, implement, and audit code quality standards, engineering practices, and automated testing pipelines, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Drive application security initiatives through Security by Design principles and system hardening, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and the protection of sensitive financial and transactional data.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent solutions to maintain system reliability and high availability.
• Lead advanced observability and performance analysis using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing to identify bottlenecks and optimize high-volume transactional environments.
• Design distributed microservices architectures, caching strategies, and integrations in collaboration with Tech Leads and Technical Specialists, aligning infrastructure decisions with long-term product objectives.
• Explore and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning integrations within backend systems to enhance financial analytics, intelligent automation, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor Mid-level and Senior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and advanced engineering practices across architecture, security, and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive, standardized, and up-to-date technical and software architecture documentation.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with a proven track record in Senior or Specialist-level positions.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET and established expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, including involvement in technology modernization and migration projects, particularly from .NET Full Framework to .NET Core and Node.js/TypeScript.
• A polyglot engineering mindset, with the ability to work across different technology stacks and select solutions based on technical and business needs.
• Advanced knowledge of MongoDB (NoSQL) and asynchronous messaging systems or message brokers such as RabbitMQ or equivalent technologies.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and engineering principles, including Clean Architecture, Ports & Adapters (Hexagonal Architecture), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), SOLID principles, and object-oriented design.
• Strong practical experience implementing automated unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability, maintainability, and coverage.
• Solid knowledge of cloud computing environments, particularly AWS or GCP, and large-scale distributed microservices architectures.
• Advanced application security knowledge, including OWASP Top 10, system hardening, and experience participating in information security and compliance audits.
• Practical experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, analyzing latency, and improving efficiency in high-volume transactional systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, combined with a strong commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with and mentor multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Nice to have:
• Experience or strong conceptual knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Practical experience integrating intelligent models into backend applications to support analytics, automation, and business process optimization.
