Mid Level Backend Software Developer

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Mid Level Backend Software Engineer to help develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems that power mission-critical applications.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Mid Level Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend applications and APIs using C# and .NET technologies. The Mid Level Backend Software Engineer will collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable cloud-based solutions, implement new features, support integrations, and improve overall platform performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building reliable backend systems, solving technical challenges, and contributing to modern software applications in an Agile environment.

Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BACKEND DEVELOPMENT & API DEVELOPMENT

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.

• Build and support RESTful APIs for internal and customer-facing applications.

• Develop new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple software products.

• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.

CLOUD & AZURE SUPPORT

• Support applications hosted within Microsoft Azure environments.

• Assist with deployments, monitoring, and production issue troubleshooting.

• Work with Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

• Help improve application reliability, scalability, and performance.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION & DATA MANAGEMENT

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems and services.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations.

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across connected systems.

• Support backend architecture that enables seamless communication between applications.

COLLABORATION & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA, and product stakeholders.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Document technical implementations and development processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.

• Experience building backend applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core.

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Experience working with SQL databases.

• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

SKILLS

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET/.NET Core.

• Strong understanding of backend software engineering principles.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

• Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

• Experience with Git and version control systems.

• Strong SQL development and database optimization skills.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities.

• Understanding of software architecture and API design.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
