Magento Web Designer

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client's time zone.

Our client is a growing e-commerce and distribution company specializing in commercial equipment, selling across both B2B and direct-to-consumer channels. The company is actively investing in improving its digital presence and online purchasing experience to better serve customers and drive growth.

Role Overview

The Magento Web Designerwill be responsible for the ongoing management, optimization, and visual improvement of the company's Magento (Adobe Commerce) website.

This is not a one-time redesign role. The position focuses on continuous website updates, UX improvements, product and content management, and maintaining a high-performing e-commerce experience.

The Magento Web Designerwill work closely with internal stakeholders to execute design changes, improve navigation, and ensure products and content remain updated and optimized for conversion. Strong hands-on Magento development experience is essential, as the role requires independently working within the existing Magento backend and implementing technical website changes when needed. While design and UX/UI skills are important, Magento development will be the primary technical focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Updates

• Manage and update the Magento website on a daily basis.

• Upload and maintain product listings, descriptions, and visual content.

• Ensure website content remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with business needs.

UX/UI & Design Improvements

• Improve website layout, navigation flow, and overall user experience.

• Optimize product pages and landing pages for better conversion.

• Identify and implement design enhancements that improve usability and performance.

Design Execution

• Create and edit visual assets, including banners and product visuals, as needed.

• Work within existing brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency.

• Collaborate with internal teams to bring design ideas to life.

Magento & Technical Implementation

• Work directly within the existing Magento (Adobe Commerce) backend environment.

• Implement website changes and updates requiring Magento development knowledge.

• Troubleshoot technical issues affecting website updates, product management, or functionality.

• Execute light front-end changes independently when possible.

• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency where appropriate.

Performance & Optimization

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve website performance and the user journey.

• Support ongoing conversion rate optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience

• 2--5+ years of experience working with Magento (Adobe Commerce) --- required.

• Strong hands-on Magento development experience --- required.

• Experience independently working within an existing Magento backend environment --- required.

• Experience managing and updating e-commerce websites on an ongoing basis.

• Experience with UX/UI design for e-commerce.

Skills

• Strong understanding of Magento and its backend environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and independently implement Magento website changes.

• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices.

• Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Figma, or similar.

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or similar is a plus.

• Strong eye for design and usability with close attention to detail.

• Proactive approach and ability to work independently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to iterate quickly.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Consistent, high-quality website updates are completed without bottlenecks.

• Website navigation, usability, and overall design improve.

• Conversion rates and the overall user experience improve.

• Website updates can be independently managed and implemented within the Magento environment.
