Localization Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Localization Manager based in Brazil.

As a Localization Manager, you will coordinate multilingual projects that help digital products reach users across global markets.
You will manage localization projects for apps, games, websites, and software while balancing quality, deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
Working with translators, editors, and clients across different countries and time zones, you will keep projects moving smoothly from start to finish.
The role combines language expertise with technical thinking, organization, communication, and an interest in modern localization technologies.
You will work with CAT tools, translation management systems, spreadsheets, and AI-enabled workflows to support efficient project delivery.
With training and mentorship, the position is designed to help you develop into a professional Localization Project Manager within 6--12 months.

Accountabilities

• Manage localization projects for apps, games, websites, software, and other digital products.
• Coordinate translators, editors, and other language professionals across international markets.
• Communicate with clients and project stakeholders across different time zones.
• Monitor project timelines, deadlines, quality standards, budgets, and deliverables.
• Maintain clear project information and workflows using spreadsheets and localization management tools.
• Learn and implement CAT tools, TMS platforms, and AI-assisted localization workflows.
• Support the continuous improvement and optimization of AI-enhanced localization processes.
• Identify and address project risks, delays, quality issues, and other delivery challenges.
• Ensure smooth coordination between clients and language specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of assigned projects while maintaining reliable communication and meeting commitments.
• Requirements:
  • Some experience in translation, linguistics, game localization, language tutoring, or a related field.
  • Fluent English and proficiency in at least one additional foreign language.
  • Strong interest in technology and the intersection of language, software, and digital products.
  • International work or study experience is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, accountability, and consistent attention to deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets, and other spreadsheet-based workflows.
  • Some technical background, such as basic scripting, CAT tools, TMS platforms, or similar technologies.
  • Interest in AI tools, LLMs, and emerging technologies applied to localization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a remote environment.
  • Motivation to develop into a professional Localization Project Manager within 6--12 months.
