We are a fast-growing ecommerce lifecycle marketing agency looking for highly detail-oriented and technically skilled Klaviyo experts to support our Lifecycle Marketing team on an hourly contract basis.
This role is ideal for someone who loves the technical side of retention marketing and takes pride in building clean, accurate, error-free and complaint email and SMS experiences inside Klaviyo.
You will work alongside Strategists, Specialists and Designers, and Client to help execute campaigns and automations for leading DTC ecommerce brands.
About the Role
As a Lifecycle Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical execution, QA, scheduling, and deployment of email and SMS marketing initiatives across multiple ecommerce clients.
This is not a strategy or copywriting role. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally strong in the operational and technical side of Klaviyo execution and can consistently deliver accurate, polished work with minimal oversight.
This is a remote, contractor position with flexible hourly work based on client workload and project needs.
Responsibilities
Build and format emails inside Klaviyo using provided creative assets, copy and brand guidelines
Configure and deploy SMS campaigns and automations
Build and maintain Klaviyo flows and automation logic
Set up triggers, splits, filters, delays, and conditional logic
QA campaigns and flows for accuracy before deployment
Test mobile and desktop rendering across devices and inboxes
Configure dynamic content blocks, product feeds, and personalized content
Build and troubleshoot audience segments and lists
Implement hide/show logic and conditional content within emails
Schedule and deploy campaigns and flows accurately and on time
Ensure all links, tracking, personalization, and assets function properly
Collaborate closely with Lifecycle Marketing Strategists and Specialists
Maintain organization and documentation across multiple accounts and deliverables
Requirements
3-5 years of hands-on experience working in Klaviyo
Experience supporting ecommerce and DTC brands
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing operations and execution
Experience building both campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo, Attentive and other ESPs
Experience with SMS marketing execution inside Klaviyo, Attentive and other ESPs
Deep understanding of Klaviyo flow logic and automation structure
Strong knowledge of:
Conditional splits
Trigger filters
Dynamic product feeds
Segmentation
Hide/show logic
Dynamic variables and personalization
Email rendering best practices
Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues independently
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a strong plus
Experience with Shopify integrations is preferred
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Able to follow processes and QA standards consistently
Strong communication skills in English
Reliable and responsive
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Emails and flows are built accurately with minimal revisions
Campaigns deploy on time and error-free
QA issues and mistakes are proactively identified before launch
Agency Lifecycle Strategists and Specialists are able to spend more time on strategy, copy, and client communication because execution is dependable and efficient
Clients experience smooth, polished delivery and operational excellence

Anticipated hours 20 up to 40 per week (dependent upon the organizational/ departmental needs). Must be available during 9AM - 5PM EST hours.
