About this Role.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Líder Técnico de Sustentação Sênior based in Brazil.

We are looking for a senior technical leader to oversee infrastructure support, incident management, and the stability of critical technology environments. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical troubleshooting with the coordination and prioritization of operational demands. You will work across Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, SQL Server, networks, and application integrations to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues. You will also lead controlled changes, coordinate internal teams and external providers, and support infrastructure modernization initiatives. The position requires strong technical judgment, clear documentation, and a proactive approach to service reliability and operational excellence. This is a remote opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning technical challenges into sustainable solutions.

Accountabilities

  • Classify and prioritize incidents, service requests, and change requests, assigning ownership, defining response expectations, and coordinating escalations.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including directory services and policies, to support availability, capacity, patching, and configuration management.

  • Investigate application, operating system, database, network, and integration failures using logs, metrics, and event timelines to identify root causes rather than symptoms.

  • Support SQL Server operations at the infrastructure and diagnostic level, including connectivity, services, jobs, capacity, and coordinated backup and restoration activities, involving database administrators when necessary.

  • Plan and coordinate the provisioning of production, project, testing, and development environments, ensuring requirements, validation, maintenance windows, and rollback plans are defined.

  • Coordinate support activities with project teams and third-party providers, including overnight routines, automated import processes, scheduled updates, and infrastructure improvements related to risk systems.

  • Execute or coordinate approved infrastructure security initiatives, including server and domain rebuilds, centralized authentication, network segmentation, system hardening, and privileged access controls.

  • Document operational procedures, root-cause findings, corrective action plans, and knowledge-transfer activities to improve consistency and reduce recurring incidents.

  • Coordinate technical changes and operational priorities while balancing system stability, security, business needs, and service continuity.

Requirements

  • Practical experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server in corporate environments.

  • Hands-on experience operating and diagnosing IIS and web applications, including logs, application pools, services, certificates, and dependencies.

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy Objects (GPO), including access management, policy configuration, and authentication troubleshooting.

  • Operational experience with SQL Server, including infrastructure-level diagnostics and the ability to identify when specialist database administrator support is required.

  • Experience handling complex incidents, prioritizing competing demands, coordinating controlled changes, and documenting technical procedures and resolutions.

  • Ability to coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers while maintaining clear communication, accountability, and follow-through.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish immediate symptoms from underlying technical causes.

  • Nice to have: Experience in regulated environments, audits, requests for proposals (RFPs), and preparing evidence for penetration testing.

  • Nice to have: Operational automation using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code practices.

  • Nice to have: Knowledge of network segmentation, VPNs, security hardening, and privileged access management.

  • Nice to have: Experience with AWS, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.

  • Nice to have: Familiarity with legacy .NET/IIS applications, overnight processing routines, and managing multiple environments.
