**Infrastructure Engineer** **Role Overview** We are looking for an experienced **Infrastructure Engineer** to design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical systems, optimize infrastructure operations, and drive continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and cloud services. * Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities. * Implement and maintain security best practices across systems, networks, and applications. * Ensure system availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness. * Manage backup and recovery processes, patch management, and capacity planning. * Troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents and provide Level 2/3 support. * Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth IT service delivery. * Document infrastructure configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures. * Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to optimize infrastructure performance and cost. * Ensure compliance with IT policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. ### **Required Skills & Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 4+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role. * Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration. * Solid networking expertise (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP). * Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar). * Experience working with cloud platforms such as **AWS, Azure, or GCP**. * Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and configuration management tools. * Experience with backup and recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning. * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Industry certifications (CCNA, MCSE, AWS/Azure, VMware VCP) are a plus. ### **Preferred Skills** * Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python). * Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). * Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management. ### **Key Attributes** * Strong sense of ownership and accountability. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. * Detail-oriented with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliability. * Adaptable to evolving technologies and fast-changing environments.
