About this Role.

TITLE: GROWTH OPERATIONS MANAGER LOCATION: REMOTE (LATAM) WORK SCHEDULE: FLEXIBLE; MUST OVERLAP EASTERN TIME (EST) WORKING HOURS SALARY: $3,500 – $4,000 PER MONTH (SALARY BASED ON ASSESSMENT) COMPANY OVERVIEW We are a growth marketing consultancy that partners with fast-scaling brands. Acting as a fractional marketing team and strategic advisor, we help clients solve their most critical marketing challenges—moving from guesswork to growth. Leveraging AI, data, and creative strategy, we provide end-to-end marketing solutions, including business planning, media activation, campaign execution, and long-term growth strategies. Our clients are established brands with seven- and eight-figure marketing investments, and we operate with a high bar for clarity, quality, and strategic thinking. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a Strategic Growth Operations Manager to own the bridge between strategy and client delivery for our AI-native growth marketing consultancy. This role is not project management — it is the operational leadership position that ensures every client deliverable, communication, and interaction reflects SSP’s premium consulting standard. You report directly to the Founder and Managing Partner. The ideal candidate has spent 5–7 years inside an agency or consultancy, has shipped client-facing work they’re proud of, and can exercise editorial judgment without being told what “good” looks like. You will manage a direct report (Growth Operations Associate), coordinate specialist vendors, and serve as the quality gate on everything that comes from our firm — across a portfolio of 4–6 active client engagements. You work alongside AI-powered intelligence tools daily as your operating system for research, analysis, and deliverable production. As the company scales its client portfolio, this role scales with it — there is a clear path to senior leadership for the right person. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Client Deliverable Ownership – Own end-to-end production of client-facing presentations, strategic briefs, quarterly business reviews, investment models, and marketing plans. Transform strategic direction and AI-generated intelligence into polished, client-ready materials. - Client Communication & Representation – Draft and send recap emails, status updates, and strategic briefs with increasing autonomy. Facilitate client meetings, present deliverables, and represent SSP’s advisory position with confidence. The Managing Partner reviews exceptions — not every email. - Team Management – Supervise the Growth Operations Associate: assign daily tasks, review output quality, maintain communication cadence, and manage performance against defined criteria. Own this management layer so the Managing Partner can focus on strategy and business development. - Vendor & Talent Coordination – Source, onboard, and manage specialized contractors including media buyers, copywriters, creative talent, and technical partners. Oversee contracts, access permissions, and project timelines to maintain operational flow across engagements. - Delivery Pipeline Management – Maintain visibility across all active client engagements. Track what’s due, what’s behind, what needs the Managing Partner’s input, and what can ship independently. Ensure zero missed commitments across accounts. - Financial Operations Support – Track SOWs, invoices, and receipts. Maintain accurate logs for accounting and prepare documentation for CPA review to ensure precise, timely reporting across all client accounts. - AI-Native Operations – Work daily with SSP’s AI intelligence suite as primary source material for client deliverables. You’ll use AI tools to draft first versions of client briefs, synthesize competitive research, and process meeting recordings — then apply your editorial judgment to every output. Requirements - Experience – 5–7 years in an agency, consultancy, or startup environment with proven client-facing deliverable experience. You have built and shipped work that clients paid for — not just managed timelines. - Editorial Judgment – You can evaluate whether a deliverable meets a premium consulting standard before it leaves the building. Strategic accuracy, visual quality, and narrative coherence are the bar — not just grammar and spelling. - Communication Skills – Exceptional writing, editing, and synthesis skills. You represent SSP’s voice in client communications with confidence — not by following a script, but by understanding the business context behind every message. - Marketing Fluency – Working knowledge of growth marketing strategy, channel economics, and campaign execution. You understand what a quarterly business review should contain, what a channel strategy looks like, and what distinguishes good marketing work from average work. - Technical Proficiency – Expert in Google Workspace. Proficient in Notion for operational management. Comfortable working with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM) as accelerators for research, analysis, and content production. - Management Experience – You have supervised at least one direct report. You know how to assign work, review output, give direct feedback, and develop someone toward greater autonomy. - Education – Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Preferred: - Background in growth, performance, or marketing strategy - Exposure to fast-paced agency or consulting environments Core Competencies - Editorial Taste – Holds a high standard for client-facing work. Knows the difference between “done” and “ready to ship.” Will not let something go out that they would not put their name on. - Proactive Communication – Anticipates needs, removes bottlenecks, and drives alignment through clear and timely updates. Does not wait to be asked. - Client Presence – Represents SSP’s values, confidence, and quality standards in every client interaction. Holds the advisory position when conversations get uncomfortable. - Strategic Translation – Understands business and marketing context. Translates abstract strategy into structured, executable deliverables that a client can act on. - Ownership & Autonomy – Operates independently within defined scope. Makes judgment calls on deliverable quality, communication timing, and task prioritization without requiring daily direction. - Technology Integration – Uses AI tools as force multipliers, not crutches. Identifies automation opportunities and contributes to workflow innovation across client engagements. - Process Discipline – Builds and maintains systems that ensure accuracy, accountability, and on-time delivery across multiple client accounts simultaneously. This role is not the right fit if you prefer to wait for detailed instructions before acting. #LI-NC1
