Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Word and PDF Specialist to work with complex business documents across regulated and detail-sensitive environments. You will review, format, edit, and organise files, manage comments and revisions, create forms and templates, and support document workflows requiring a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, paid per completed task

COMMITMENT: Flexible, based on available tasks and project demand

LOCATIONS: Fully remote - USA

PROCESS: Application review, practical assessment, and onboarding

HOURLY RATE: 20 - 55/h

Responsibilities

  • Review, edit, and format complex Word and PDF documents.

  • Manage tracked changes, comments, versions, and document comparisons.

  • Create and update templates, forms, and structured document layouts.

  • Extract, organise, and consolidate information from multiple files.

  • Apply document standards for legal, regulatory, compliance, or professional use.

  • Prepare secure and accessible PDF files, including forms and signatures.

  • Maintain document accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.

  • Support document workflows and quality-control processes.

  • Provide guidance on advanced Word and PDF features when required.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of intensive professional experience with Microsoft Word and PDF tools.

  • Advanced experience with formatting, tracked changes, comments, and document review

  • Background in legal, healthcare, academia, government, finance, real estate, or public policy.

  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 companies or similarly complex organisations..

  • Experience creating or editing complex templates, forms, or long documents.

  • Master’s degree, PhD, JD, or equivalent advanced professional qualification.

  • Experience handling confidential or regulated documentation.

  • Strong written English and attention to document accuracy.
