About The Role
We are orchestrating the best high-performing team and we need a deal-closer who lives and breathes payments and financial institutions!
We're looking for a Director of Sales & Business Development to drive commercial structuring and execution within our Banking & Financial Institutions vertical across Latin America and the Caribbean. You will report directly to the VP of Sales & Business Development, Banking & Financial Institutions, and work side by side with product, solutions engineering, marketing, and senior leadership to convert Yuno's strategic positioning into signed deals and live accounts.
You will be in the trenches: running end-to-end sales cycles with banks, acquirers, PSPs, and digital wallets, from qualification and proposal through negotiation and onboarding. You will own a target list of accounts, build a robust pipeline with precision, and lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations that require both commercial creativity and deep payments expertise.
The financial institutions landscape in Latin America is being rewritten in real time: by regulation, by technology, and by the entry of non-traditional players. You will need to stay ahead of these shifts, translating market intelligence into actionable plays and ensuring Yuno is positioned to lead.

Your contribution will be
• Execute the full sales cycle within the Banking & Financial Services vertical in LATAM, from prospecting and qualification to structuring, contract signature and client onboarding
• Own and manage a portfolio of high-value target banks, acquirers, PSPs, and wallets driving each through a disciplined pipeline to close
• Build and nurture relationships with VP and C-suite decision makers at financial institutions, establishing Yuno as a trusted payments infrastructure partner
• Lead complex commercial proposals and negotiations, structuring deals that balance aggressive growth targets with long-term partnership economics
• Develop account-specific engagement strategies, including tailored pitch decks, ROI models, and competitive positioning analyses
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Legal, Finance, and Customer Operations to ensure seamless deal execution and client transition
• Gather, synthesize, and channel client and market feedback to inform Yuno's product roadmap for financial industry use cases
• Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene in CRM (Salesforce), delivering accurate forecasts and ongoing progress reports to the VP and senior leadership
• Represent Yuno at industry events and client meetings as a credible voice in payments and financial infrastructure
• Support the VP in shaping the vertical's GTM strategy by surfacing market signals, competitive intelligence, and emerging opportunities in real time
Skills you need
Minimum Qualifications
• Native Spanish and advanced English required
• +7 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or similar roles within B2B payments, banking, fintech, or a related industry
• Demonstrable track record of closing enterprise deals, particularly with banks, acquirers, or large financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of the Latin American banking and acquiring payment ecosystems, including regulatory dynamics, clearing infrastructure, and key market participants
• Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and working knowledge of Agents
• Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Workspace suite
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills — you should be as comfortable presenting a demo to a prospect as you are negotiating contract terms with a Head of Payments
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, highly ambiguous environments
• Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to build financial models and business cases independently
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling payments technology, acquiring, or issuing solutions to financial institutions
• Existing network of contacts within LATAM financial institutions
• Brazilian Portuguese
• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
