Data developer (Python, FICO DMPS e FICO DM (ou Blaze Advisor)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Developer (Python, FICO DMPS e FICO DM (ou Blaze Advisor)) based in Brazil.

This senior-level role focuses on building, evolving, and supporting automated decision engines using the FICO ecosystem.
You will translate complex business rules into reliable, traceable, and scalable automated decisions.
The position combines decision-engine development with Python, SQL, APIs, data platforms, and cloud technologies.
You will work on initiatives involving credit, risk, fraud prevention, collections, eligibility, and other high-volume transactional environments.
The role requires close collaboration with business and technology teams to design, integrate, test, and optimize decisioning solutions.
You will also contribute to governance, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and production support.
The position offers a remote work model, with office attendance required for professionals residing in the Campinas Metropolitan Region according to applicable policies.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and evolve business rules and automated decision engines within the FICO platform.

• Design and implement decision tables, decision trees, ruleflows, workspaces, deployments, and related decisioning components.

• Translate business requirements into effective decisioning solutions and perform impact analyses before implementation.

• Integrate FICO decision engines with corporate APIs, microservices, and other synchronous and asynchronous systems.

• Support functional testing, validation, homologation, production releases, and troubleshooting of decision engines.

• Investigate production incidents and processing issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

• Ensure traceability, auditability, version control, and governance of business rules and automated decisions.

• Collaborate with business teams on the definition, optimization, and evolution of decision policies.

• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, Python, and related technologies.

• Document technical solutions and decisioning processes and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.

• Contribute to monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of decisioning environments.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience developing and maintaining decision engines, preferably using the FICO ecosystem.

• Hands-on experience with FICO Blaze Advisor, FICO Decision Modeler (DM), FICO Decision Management Platform (DMPS), and/or Rule Maintenance Application (RMA).

• Experience developing business rules, decision tables, decision trees, ruleflows, workspaces, and deployments.

• Background in financial institutions, payments, or other high-volume transactional environments.

• Experience with projects involving credit, customer onboarding, fraud prevention, collections, risk, or product eligibility.

• Strong knowledge of Python and PySpark, as well as advanced SQL.

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, system integrations, and synchronous/asynchronous messaging.

• Knowledge of data modeling and experience working with data platforms such as Databricks.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, with Azure experience considered desirable.

• Experience with Git and DevOps pipelines.

• Understanding of observability and monitoring concepts.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate complex processing issues.

• Good communication and collaboration skills for working across technical and business teams.

• Knowledge of credit decisioning strategies, scorecards, policy engines, machine-learning model integration, MongoDB, credit bureaus, or regulated environments is a plus.
