About this Role.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chief Technology Officer / VP of Technology based in Brazil.

As the executive technology leader for a global energy advisory firm of roughly 300 professionals across Europe and North America, you will hold complete accountability for the entire technical ecosystem. This pivotal role balances high-level commercial impact with a practical, hands-on approach, bridging internal corporate systems with sophisticated client-facing digital products. You will lead cross-border enterprise IT, oversee a distributed international team, direct managed services, and orchestrate modern AI and automation strategies to scale operations efficiently. Operating in an agile, business-first environment without heavy administrative friction, your technical vision and execution will directly shape company growth, vendor partnerships, and core client capabilities across multiple regions.

Accountabilities:

  • Enterprise IT and operations across multiple countries, including network infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, global service desk, and identity and access management.

  • Internal business systems and reporting architecture, maintaining and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Finance & Operations, and associated data workflows.

  • Portfolio management of client-facing platforms in two regions, defining product roadmaps, ensuring system connectivity, and driving continuous platform maintenance.

  • AI and automation integration, collaborating directly with business units to optimize processes and deploy modern tools that drive growth without proportional headcount expansion.

  • Strategic technology cost management, managing global vendor relationships, licensing negotiations, and outsourced managed-service arrangements.

  • Leadership and mentorship of a distributed, multi-country technology team, fostering a high-performance culture across time zones.

  • Requirements:

    • Proven track record leading technology strategy and execution within a mid-sized organization, encompassing both internal business systems and client-facing digital products.

    • Deep experience in the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 environments.

    • Hands-on operational leadership style, actively engaging with and building upon modern tools rather than solely delegating or overseeing high-level governance.

    • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success in vendor negotiations, licensing optimization, and multi-country technology budget management.

    • High adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills required to lead distributed teams and support operations across various time zones.

    • Pragmatic, business-first mindset suited for a lean, efficient environment that values speed and outcomes over heavy process or top-down IT governance.

    • Familiarity with modern data platform architecture (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI), experience navigating corporate ownership transitions, or prior energy sector exposure is highly advantageous.

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive executive salary package reflecting the impact and scale of the role.

      • Fully remote work model offering geographic and schedule flexibility.

      • Comprehensive healthcare and medical coverage plan.

      • Global business exposure and opportunities for professional leadership growth in a scaling, international energy advisory environment.

      • Direct access to executive decision-makers and key business stakeholders in a streamlined, low-bureaucracy organizational culture.
