Job Title: Bilingual Medical Scribe & Patient Support Virtual Assistant

Client is seeking a highly experienced Bilingual Medical Scribe Virtual Assistant to support a busy healthcare practice with medical documentation, patient communication, and administrative support.
The primary focus of this role is medical scribing and note documentation, helping reduce the workload on in-house medical assistants while improving the accuracy and completeness of patient records.
The ideal candidate has strong healthcare experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Accurately document patient visits and medical notes
Assist providers with detailed medical documentation
Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient records
Support SOAP note preparation and clinical documentation workflows
Reduce documentation burden on medical assistants
Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally
Assist with patient communication and follow-up
Support administrative coordination related to patient care
Assist with patient triage support
Help route patient concerns appropriately
Support clinic administrative workflows and documentation tasks

Availity (insurance verification)
Requirements
Extensive medical scribing experience is REQUIRED
Healthcare industry background required
Pain management experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency required
Strong experience with medical documentation workflows
Familiarity with SOAP note formatting preferred
Ability to capture complete and accurate patient information
Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows
Comfortable supporting patient triage and documentation tasks
Experience using Athena Health or similar EHR systems
Familiarity with insurance verification systems like Availity
Fluent in both Spanish and English
Professional patient communication skills
Strong phone etiquette and patient interaction ability
Detail-oriented and organized
Motivated and reliable
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Adaptable and able to integrate into existing workflows quickly
No medical scribing experience
Not bilingual in Spanish and English
Weak medical documentation skills
No healthcare industry experience
Inability to work independently
Poor attention to detail in patient notes
Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
Must have relevant work experience
Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
