The project focuses on building and embedding advanced AI tooling directly into developer workflows and internal libraries to automate complex refactoring and scale large-system migrations. As a Senior Engineer, you will be at the forefront of the "AI for Engineering" movement, creating the tools that help other engineers work faster, smarter, and with higher code quality. ### 🔍 Key Responsibilities * **AI Integration & Tooling:** Design and build tools that integrate AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code and Cursor) into existing engineering environments and collaboration platforms (Slack, Google Docs). * **Workflow Optimization:** Enable and support engineering teams in adopting AI-driven workflows to significantly enhance productivity and code quality across the organization. * **Automated Migrations:** Develop and manage large-scale system migrations by leveraging AI to automate repetitive or complex refactoring tasks. * **DevOps & Infrastructure:** Maintain and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments to ensure the smooth deployment of productivity tools. * **Build System Support:** Improve and support build systems, ensuring they remain compatible with new AI-driven automation and migration efforts. * **Technical Execution:** Interpret complex technical requirements and execute them independently in a fast-paced, high-responsiveness environment. ### 💡 Must-Have Skills * **Backend Proficiency:** Strong experience in **Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python**. * **Advanced AI Integration:** Deep knowledge of AI integration; experience embedding AI into libraries and software architecture rather than just building basic chatbots. * **AI Tooling Ecosystem:** Hands-on experience with tools like **Claude Code, Windsurf, Amp, and Cursor**. * **Infrastructure & DevOps:** Mastery of **GitLab CI/CD** and **Containerization** (Docker/Kubernetes). * **Migration & Testing:** Solid experience with software testing methodologies and supporting large-scale system migrations. * **Remote Collaboration:** Proven experience working in Agile teams and remote-first environments. * **Fluent English:** High proficiency for daily technical communication and documentation. ### 🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills * **Build Automation:** Specific experience with **Gradle**, particularly focused on package management. * **Advocacy:** Experience acting as a technical advocate or enabler for other engineering teams. * **Cloud Platforms:** Familiarity with AWS or GCP services. ### 🌐 Time Zone & Collaboration The role requires collaboration with teams aligned to **Central Time (CT)**.
