We’re looking for an Advertising Sales Manager who combines strong sales ownership with excellent relationship management. Someone who can prospect, sell, close, manage clients, and grow long-term advertiser relationships.
This role is a hybrid of sales, account management and customer experience, ideal for someone who thrives on structure, systems, and helping clients get results.
You’ll be the central point of contact for our advertisers and partners, supporting them through their campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of their assets, and identifying new ways we can help them grow with us.
This includes managing warm and cold outreach campaigns, as well as B2B marketing initiatives. The focus is on organization, execution, and checking metrics to assess engagement and campaign performance.
You will own the commercial relationship from:
Prospecting → cold outreach → discovery call → proposal → follow-up → close → Fulfillment → account management → renewal/upsell.
What you’ll be doing:
Manage inbound sales inquiries via email, phone and zoom
Develop a new pipeline of potential customers through various forms of cold outreach
Conduct structured discovery calls with prospective advertisers and sponsors.
Track performance and identify upsell opportunities based on campaign success
Maintain structured, caring communication with clients, helping them feel supported
Coordinate cross-functionally with editorial, content, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and execution of campaigns
Maintain records in CRM and stay on top of contracts, invoices, follow-ups, and accounts receivable
🕒 This is a full-time role with core working hours of 10am-7pm UK time with some flexibility needed to work with clients in US Pacific Time.
Requirements
You are commercially minded, organised, proactive, and confident speaking with business owners, founders, marketing managers, educators, therapists, and senior decision-makers.
You enjoy building relationships, but you are also comfortable being measured on sales activity, pipeline management, closed revenue, fulfilment, and client retention.
Picking up the phone to call someone who has never heard of you feels like an opportunity, not a problem.
You are someone who:
Has several years of experience in B2B sales, account management, advertising sales, sponsorship sales, customer success, or business development
Is comfortable making cold calls and sending cold emails
Can run a structured discovery call
Knows how to ask good questions before pitching
Understands how to sell value, not just price
Has a good understanding of marketing concepts
Is confident speaking with C-level executives, marketing managers, educators, therapists, and business owners
Writes clear, professional emails
Can research a company quickly and identify whether it is a good prospect
Is organised, detail-oriented, and consistent with follow-up
Takes ownership of results and does not need to be constantly chased
Is comfortable working remotely and independently
Is willing to follow a defined sales process
Is motivated by revenue growth, client relationships, and delivering excellent service
This role is probably not a good fit if:
You only want to respond to inbound emails
You avoid cold calls or sales conversations
You are uncomfortable asking about budget, urgency, or decision-making
You need constant reminders to follow up
You struggle to stay organised or keep CRM records updated
You default to discounting instead of selling value
You find structured processes restrictive
You are not comfortable being measured on commercial outcomes
You want a commission-based role
