This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Accounting Manager - Marketing based in Mexico.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting operations within a dynamic, marketing-focused organization operating through a shared services model. You will play a central role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient month-end close processes, and strong compliance across multiple business units. The position combines hands-on technical accounting with leadership responsibilities, overseeing day-to-day general ledger activities and guiding a small accounting team. You will collaborate closely with finance, AP, AR, payroll, and business stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency. The environment is fast-paced, international, and highly collaborative, with strong exposure to corporate finance and cross-functional initiatives. Your work will directly support decision-making across multiple brands within a global marketing network.
Accountabilities:* Oversee daily general ledger accounting operations and month-end close activities
Review journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounting adjustments
Supervise and support accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed general ledger analysis
Coordinate with AR, AP, payroll, and finance teams to resolve accounting inquiries
Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper eliminations across entities
Support audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditors
Assist with tax-related schedules and reporting requirements
Maintain organized accounting records and support reporting system uploads (e.g., Hyperion)
Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis and corporate initiatives as needed
5–7 years of accounting experience in corporate or shared services environments
Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supervising an accounting team
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting processes
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
Experience in marketing or multi-entity corporate environments is a plus
