About this Role.

We are a fast-growing, multi-entity service company and we are seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager based in Latin America to support our U.S. operations in a fully remote capacity. This is not a passive accounting role, we are looking for a process-driven operator who can bring structure, discipline, and ownership to our financial operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for owning the day-to-day accounting engine, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and building scalable systems that support continued growth. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our numbers are clean, reliable, and actionable. In this role, you will take full ownership of the monthly close process, ensuring all financials are completed accurately and on time—no later than the 10th of each month. You will manage general ledger integrity across multiple entities, reconcile accounts, and standardize accounting processes to eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks. You will also oversee bookkeeping and administrative accounting functions, holding team members accountable to deadlines and performance standards while improving workflows and data accuracy. A key part of your role will be supporting job costing and margin analysis, helping leadership better understand financial performance and make informed decisions. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within service-based or field service businesses, who has hands-on experience managing the close process and working across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in enforcing processes and deadlines. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of identifying problems and implementing solutions without constant direction. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working remotely with U.S.-based leadership and teams. This role is best suited for someone who takes ownership, thrives on creating order from chaos, and is motivated by building systems that scale. It is not a fit for someone who prefers a slow-paced, highly structured corporate environment or avoids accountability. In return, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in building and shaping the accounting function of a growing company, with the potential to grow into a Controller-level position over time. What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days, you will: * Establish and own a **monthly close process (completed by the 10th of each month)** * Deliver **clean, accurate financials across all entities** * Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in current accounting workflows * Create consistency in reporting, processes, and data flow * Bring clarity and confidence to company financials Key Responsibilities ### Financial Operations & Close Process * Own and execute the **monthly, quarterly, and annual close process** * Ensure all financials are accurate, timely, and complete * Maintain general ledger integrity across multiple entities * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions ### Process & Systems Improvement * Build, document, and enforce **standardized accounting processes** * Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions * Improve data flow between operations and accounting * Ensure consistency across all entities and divisions ### Team Management * Manage and oversee **bookkeeping and administrative accounting staff** * Hold team accountable to deadlines and performance standards * Train and develop team members to improve accuracy and efficiency * Eliminate bottlenecks and remove “roadblocks” within workflows ### Reporting & Analysis * Prepare and deliver **monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)** * Assist in **job costing and margin analysis** (critical for service operations) * Provide insights into financial performance and trends * Support leadership with accurate and actionable financial data ### Internal Controls & Compliance * Establish and maintain strong internal controls * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies * Coordinate with external CPA and tax professionals as needed What We’re Looking For ### Must-Have: * 5+ years of accounting experience (service-based business preferred) * Experience managing or leading accounting functions * Strong understanding of **month-end close and financial reporting** * Experience working with **multiple entities or divisions** * High attention to detail and accountability ### Critical Traits: * **Process-driven** – you create order out of chaos * **Ownership mindset** – you take responsibility for outcomes * **Confident communicator** – you can push back and enforce standards * **Problem solver** – you don’t wait, you fix * **Organized and disciplined** – deadlines matter ### Nice to Have: * Experience in field service, construction, or home services industries * Familiarity with job costing and operational reporting * Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) * Experience working alongside a Controller or CFO This Role Is NOT For You If * You prefer a slow-paced or highly structured corporate environment * You avoid accountability or difficult conversations * You need constant direction to complete tasks * You are uncomfortable driving change within a team Why Join Us * Be part of a **scaling company with real growth trajectory** * Work directly with ownership and leadership * Opportunity to **build and shape the accounting department** * Make a direct impact on company performance and profitability Final Note We are looking for someone who wants more than a job, we want someone who wants to **build something**.
