We invite a Principal Data Engineer / Team Lead to join our team and drive the development of our modern data platform. In this role, you’ll leverage your deep hands-on engineering expertise and technical leadership to design scalable data pipelines, manage databases and cloud infrastructure, and mentor engineers in delivering robust, high-quality data systems. You’ll focus on performance, scalability, and security, ensuring our data platform efficiently supports business growth and operates reliably in production.

✅ Is that you?

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering

  • Experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms

  • Proven experience designing scalable ELT pipelines in AWS

  • Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data modeling

  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt for modular data modeling, transformations, testing, and documentation

  • Expertise in data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)

  • Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis

  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to guide engineers, establish standards, and drive engineering excellence

  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Innovative mindset to implement improvements in data architecture, tooling, and performance

  • High attention to detail, adaptability, and effective time management skills

  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications

  • Full-stack web development experience (TypeScript, React.js, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js)

  • Experience with CMS development or digital signage solutions

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security best practices

🧩Key responsibilities and your contribution

In this role, you'll lead the design and evolution of our data ecosystem, combining hands-on engineering with mentoring the team and driving best practices.

  • Architect our data ecosystem, ensuring the platform powers frontend applications efficiently

  • Lead and mentor the team, driving technical excellence through code reviews and best practices in data modeling

  • Build and maintain automated DAGs and ELT workflows for reliable, 24/7 data availability

  • Design and optimize Snowflake datasets to support analytics and customer-facing features

  • Partner with DevOps to configure and manage AWS services for smooth data ingestion and transformation

  • Proactively monitor workflows, troubleshoot failures, and ensure reliability via dbt testing

  • Collaborate with developers to align Node.js backends and React frontends with the data architecture

  • Establish data standards and document pipelines, DAGs, and data models for onboarding and knowledge sharing
