1936 DevOps Engineer - Cloud
We are collaborating with a leading provider of clean energy solutions, focused on delivering innovative solar energy and storage systems across the North American market. As a key player in building a robust domestic clean energy manufacturing ecosystem, they provide end-to-end solutions—including solar systems, battery storage, and large-scale power projects—for residential, commercial, and utility customers. As a Senior DevOps Engineer focused on Cloud, you will lead the migration of workloads from AWS to Azure, ensuring seamless transitions and optimizing cloud environments. Your expertise will drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, enhancing deployment workflows across our growing infrastructure.
Lead Cloud Migration: Spearhead the migration of workloads from AWS to Azure using an AKS-first (Azure Kubernetes Service) model.
Infrastructure as Code: Design and implement robust IaC for Azure environments.
Pipeline Standardization: Migrate, optimize, and standardize CI/CD pipelines.
Architecture Modernization: Refactor legacy infrastructure into cloud-native Azure architectures.
Risk Mitigation: Ensure minimal disruption during migration by designing efficient downtime and rollback plans.
Environment Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to modernize deployment workflows.
Documentation: Document migration patterns and create reusable templates for the broader team.
Experience: 7+ years of dedicated DevOps and Cloud engineering experience.
Cloud Expertise: Strong hands-on expertise in both Azure (AKS, networking, IAM, monitoring) and AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, networking).
Tooling: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Migration Track Record: Demonstrated experience executing real-world, large-scale cloud migrations.
Experience with multi-cloud strategies and infrastructure consolidation.
Deep familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization tools, strategies, security, and compliance.
Exposure to modern platform engineering concepts.
Timezone: Working hours align with the Central Time (CT) zone.
Location: The position is remote-friendly, supporting team members operating from San Salvador, El Salvador.
