Software Engineer II – Kitchen Equipment Integration

ROLE OVERVIEW: We are looking for a Software Engineer II – Equipment Integration to join the engineering team of a technology company working on cloud-based IoT solutions. The role focuses on integrating commercial equipment into a centralized platform, building APIs, configuration tools, and services that support device connectivity and operational scalability. You will collaborate with engineering and integration teams across cloud and production environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop cloud-based IoT applications and services - Build and maintain REST APIs for device integration - Configure and integrate equipment models using structured data dictionaries - Develop internal tools to simplify and accelerate integration workflows - Write clean, efficient code in PHP, Node.js, and Angular - Troubleshoot issues across devices, backend services, and cloud infrastructure - Collaborate with engineering teams in an agile environment Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - +5 Years of Experience as a software developer. - +2 Years of Experience with PHP and MySQL. (MANDATORY). - Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) B2+ / C1 MANDATORY. - Previous experience working remotely with US-based teams. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using DynamoDB. - Experience integrating hardware devices or IoT solutions into software platforms. - Background in kitchen equipment or restaurant experience, such as working as a manager or supervisor of employees in a restaurant - Advanced knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure, particularly AWS. - Experience with containerization using Docker. - Exposure to restaurant, retail, or operational environments. About the Position: · Full-time 100% remote role.
