Note: This is a software engineering position
We’re looking for an engineer who cares about what they’re building, not just how. You’ll own features end-to-end,
ship with a small team and minimal process, and use AI tools as your default way of working. The title says Product
Engineer for a reason — you’re an engineer first, but you have the instinct to ask why something is being built,
whether it’s actually working, and what should change. That curiosity isn’t a nice-to-have here. It’s what separates
this role from a standard engineering position.
If AI tools make you 3x faster at shipping code, we don’t expect you to coast at your old output. We expect you to
reinvest that leverage — ship more, think deeper about the product, and become a more well-rounded builder. You
won’t be joining as a product manager, but the engineers who think this way naturally grow into product ownership
— and that path is explicit and encouraged here.
If you’ve ever built something on your own time because you were genuinely curious — a game, a tool, an app,
anything — we want to hear about it.
What You’ll Do:
* Own feature development end-to-end: scoping, building, shipping, iterating.
* Maintain and extend existing codebases with a focus on quality and speed.
* Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent) as your primary development workflow — the expectation
is that you multiply your own output through these tools.* Flag gaps or ambiguity in requirements before they become problems — write lightweight specs when needed.
* Read and interpret product metrics to understand how features are actually performing.
* Bring technical perspective to product discussions — not because it’s a separate responsibility, but because you
* naturally care about the outcome.
Who you are:
* 2–4 years of full-stack development experience with shipped products (React Native on the frontend is required & Golang on the backend is preferred).
* Genuine, daily fluency with at least one AI coding tool — and a track record of using that fluency to actually ship
more, not just code more comfortably.* Product curiosity. You think about whether a feature is working, not just whether it’s deployed. You have opinions
about what to build next, not just how to build it.* Comfortable working in a small team with minimal process overhead — you create your own structure.
* Strongly preferred: Experience in gaming, consumer apps, or any product where user retention is the core metric.
* Nice to have: Prior exposure to product thinking — even informally: owning a feature roadmap, writing a PRD, running a side
project.
