Digital Media Management (DMM), a Keywords Studios company, is a leading full-service digital agency, content studio and incubator specializing in social-first, “always-entertaining” marketing. We are currently looking for an Assistant Video Editor to join our Creative team. In this role, you will manage creative files and assist in producing low-lift social media assets, including simple video clips, and reformatting content for different social media sizes.
You will collaborate closely with Art Directors, Project Managers, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and Graphic Designers to support the creative process. Additionally, you will oversee the asset management process from initial intake to final client delivery, ensuring smooth workflow and organization throughout the project.
What are we looking for? Our Assistant Video Editor has a knack for the following skills:
Communication:
Quickly assembles edits and complement notes from creatives and clients, ensuring clear communication of feedback to produce assets that align with client expectations.
Assists editors with project organization and asset management, ensuring seamless collaboration and workflow across the team to meet deadlines.
Analytics:
Business:
Ingests, formats, and syncs incoming raw footage, managing media of all footage and files, ensuring everything is organized and accessible for editing.
Edits social content (stitching clips, subtitles) in various sizes for various social platforms (Instagram/Stories, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
Creates and distributes clips, GIFs, and looped videos intended for use on social media platforms, ensuring they are optimized for each platform’s specifications.
Creates thumbnails as necessary, adjusting them to suit platform standards and ensure they are visually engaging.
Cuts clips from long-form footage provided by the client, adapting them for specific social media formats.
Syncs audio files provided by the client to ensure proper alignment between audio and video content.
Inserts subtitles into cut clips for social assets, enhancing accessibility and engagement for audiences.
Requirements
Advanced English Level is a must (C1+ or higher-proficient)
3+ years of experience with editing and creating video assets, either independently or in previous employment.
Experience in both Output and Delivery processes, preparing elements for delivery to either client or team editors.
Proficiency with Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and After Effects, as well as Final Cut and other 3rd party software when applicable.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with creative teams and clients.
Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth project flow.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of editing workflows to ensure high-quality video production.
Availability
Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm PST
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours or on weekends as needed
