Android Mobile Developer (Kotlin)

Role Overview: At Rehire, we are supporting a technology company in the search for an Android Mobile Developer to join their team . We’re looking for a strong individual contributor with solid hands-on experience in Kotlin and production-grade Android applications. This role requires ownership, technical clarity, and the ability to work effectively with distributed and US-based stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, develop, test, and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin. - Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and scalability across mobile applications. - Optimize memory management, UI performance, and lifecycle handling within the Android framework. - Take full ownership of assigned features and clearly articulate technical decisions and contributions. - Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams in cross-functional environments. - Manage deployment and production releases to the Google Play Store. - Maintain high development velocity, consistently delivering sprint commitments. - Follow best coding practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to improving architecture and development workflows. Requirements: - 3–8+ years of professional mobile development experience. - 2+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK. - Strong understanding of Android development fundamentals (architecture patterns, lifecycle, performance). - Experience shipping and maintaining production-level Android applications. - Clear communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams. - Experience working in agile environments. About the Position: · Full-time 100% remote role.
